You know those days when you just don’t have the time (or let’s face it, the energy) to put on a whole face of makeup? Those are the times I reach for lipstick and like magic, I’m ready to conquer the world! Here are my 5 “Santa approved” lipstick holiday kits that I’m hoping to see under the Christmas tree this year. 🙂
MAC “Nutcracker Sweet Nude Lipstick Kit”
Wearable nudes. Can we ever have enough nude lippies in our makeup repertoire? I think not. MAC lipsticks have always been a favourite among makeup artists. Not just because they wear well but because MAC is always on trend with new colours. If I need an usual lipstick colour I always head into MAC. They never disappoint. In this holiday kit there are 4 really pretty toffee coloured nude shades that are perfect for a paler skin tone. I love the fact they are mini sized which makes them perfect for travel.
Kat Von D “Studded Beloved Lip Trio”
Sexy packaging and quality products. Kat Von D does both perfectly. When I’m choosing lipsticks for my pro kit, packaging isn’t important to me as I depot all my shades into a Vueset palette. But when I’m on the hunt for new lipsticks for myself I do love pretty packaging and Kat Von D’s studded kiss packaging is really lovely. Sexer, Cathedral and Hellbent lip shades are bestsellers for a reason. These colours are wearable for many women including myself! I love the hot pink colour in this trio as it’s one of those shades I can pop on and have it transform my look instantly. Dark scarlet red is a perfect winter red and the rosy nude shade is a great everyday lippy.
Colour Pop “To and From Lippie Stix” (discontinued)
I like having a range of lipsticks in various textures and finishes. Sometimes I feel like wearing a satin finish, other times I reach for a sheer finish and then there are those times nothing but a matte finish will do. If you haven’t heard of Colour Pop Cosmetics, be sure and check them out. They have a great range of products. I love the staying power of a good matte and the colours in this kit are all useable. I can see myself getting plenty of mileage from the colour “Baewatch.”
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Vault Collection
If I found this heavenly lipstick kit under my Christmas tree I would be the happiest woman alive! Everyone who knows me knows how much I adore BITE beauty. Their lip products are all sensational and the colour ranges are always spot on perfect. This kit is lipstick paradise! Every colour I could ever imagine wearing with a creamy luxurious finish. (just in case my hubby is reading this, you can only buy this kit online!!) Plus, hey, it’s a Canadian company. Three cheers for that!
Sephora Collection “Mini Cream Lip Stain Set”
I love me a good old lip stain! This set from Sephora has 4 fabulous wearable shades that go on creamy and then dry matte. I really like the fact these lippies are mini in size. Although I love a good lip stain it’s not something I normally wear every day. There is a time and a place for lip stains and on those days when I need my lipstick to last for hours and hours, lip stains are my go-to product. I mean….it’s only $15.00 Canadian for this set! What an excellent stocking stuffer idea.
I’m always on the hunt for good lippies! What are your favourite lipstick products? Let me know in the comments below
